Beginner Guitar Lessons That Build a Real Foundation
I teach beginner guitar. If you're picking up a guitar for the first time, or returning after a long break and starting fresh, I'd love to teach you. What Beginner Guitar Students Learn
Guitar lessons at Studio Kwan Music are centered around building a strong foundation with the basics of guitar to help you (or your child) gain confidence, enjoy the learning process, and make steady progress at your own pace.
Basic chords and chord transitions - The most common chords and how to switch between them smoothly
Strumming patterns and rhythm - Steady strumming, common patterns, and the rhythmic backbone that turns chord changes into real music.
Reading sheet music, chord charts, and tablature - All of my students will learn to read music on the staff, not just chord charts and tablature, so you can play from a wide variety of music and become a more well-rounded musician.
Basic music theory for guitar - Why chords work the way they do, how to find the notes and chords in a key, and how to figure out songs by ear. Theory makes new songs faster to learn and more fun to play.
Hand technique and posture - How to hold the guitar, play notes cleanly, and use your right hand effectively, built up gradually so habits form correctly from the start.
Effective practice habits - Most beginners struggle because nobody taught them how to practice. I teach you how to break down hard chord changes, when to slow down, and how to make 15 minutes a day actually pay off.

Guitar Lesson Pricing
Tuition is a flat monthly rate covering 42 lessons per calendar year. One predictable charge per month - no per-lesson invoicing, no surprise fees.
Pricing
30 minutes lessons are best for young kids and very early-stage beginners at $130 per month.
45 minutes lessons are best for most teens and adults beginners at $190 per month.
60 minutes lessons are best for highly motivated adults beginners at $250 per month.
Travel fees apply for in-home lessons. Online and at-studio lessons are included in the flat rate. Free 30-minutes trial lessons for all new students.
